The National Federation of Gold Factories FENOR is closely following the recent developments concerning traditional miners and certain regulatory measures related to border areas and mining activity zones.

While reaffirming its understanding of the State’s considerations regarding security, regulation, and the protection of territorial integrity, the Federation also expresses its full solidarity with traditional miners, as a national segment that has contributed over the years to stimulating the local economy, creating employment opportunities, and supporting economic activity in mining areas.

The Federation further calls for the adoption of an approach that takes into account the humanitarian, social, and economic dimensions affecting traditional miners, while ensuring stability and reassurance within the mining sector, in a manner that strengthens trust and cooperation among all stakeholders and concerned parties.

The National Federation of Gold Processing Plants reiterates its constant commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at organizing and developing the sector, within the framework of respect for the law and the preservation of the interests of both the State and the sector’s stakeholders alike.

In conclusion, the Federation renews its call for continued dialogue and coordination in a way that serves the national interest and preserves the stability of mining activities across all concerned regions.
